This post is to express my displeasure as a TX member about H3 Hummer's apparent blatant use of TX members' personal photo-op images without permission, and then re-posting them elsewhere on other boards. I was one of the members whose image was taken, so I'm posting here.
I took an even bigger issue with her flippant attitude and comment afterwards when specifically questioned by EZ RYDER about getting permission first from Harleyrider and myself, and EZ's subsequent removal of the image in the thread.

Rather than disrupt the ROC Chat forum any further with my response to this issue, I've decided to post it here, so that it can be made very clear to H3 Hummer why it was necessary for me to respond even though the warning was issued to her already in that thread by the TX Admin staff.

Hummer wrote this in response to EZ's query:
"How sad"? "Simple little montage?" Reminding someone to ask for permission to manipulate someone else's personal photos and post them elsewhere is not a matter of it being "disastrous", or "sad" as she put it. She should not divert from the main issue, especially using the "respect for Renee" comment. It has to do with simple respect to fellow members on this board, and anyone else, regarding the use of their personal photos, and also where they end up being posted outside of here without their knowledge or permission. Therefore, her response to EZ RYDER's question was not necessary, was disrespectful and I resent her flippant disregard about it. EZ asked her a specific question and she blatantly ignored answering it, making that flippant comment instead. Why didn't she quote EZ's entire, brief post to include the original question?
H3 Hummer said a "simple little montage". Well, I say it would be nice for people who generously upload their images on TX to receive a "simple little question" from her first before she treats their material as if they were hers to do as she pleased...
In case she didn't get the point yet, she should at least consider these:
1. People paid their hard-earned money for the opportunity to meet Renee and get this photo-op. They pay for the trip itself, the convention tickets, the accommodations, and the $70 for the photo-op itself. These were not "freebies".
2. Attendees do NOT have to even share the pictures online on this board or anyplace else at all, but did so anyway in good faith, to share their enjoyment with friends, other fellow TX members and fans so they can see how the event turned out, and to make them feel involved in it all.
3. All that H3 Hummer had to do here, was to simply ask the owners of the photos for permission to use them for personal use and especially in her case, also get clarification on if she can even post them elsewhere. Not only did she NOT ask to use/manipulate them, but she also proceeded to post the images on another board! By the way, I'm not even a registered member of that other board. So I couldn't even comment over there about my own photo being used if I wanted to. If I wanted my image over there, I would have registered.
It's not like Harleyrider and I were inaccessible. She knew how to reach us. We each were one PM message away. Ironically, she didn't even bother to comment on the photos in the photo-op thread where we posted them in the first place, but yet they were good enough for her to take, manipulate, start her own thread here with them, AND post elsewhere on another board, of which one of us isn't even a member??
She said she did it out of "love", and "respect" for Renee. Well, she forgot one thing here that's even more accessible to her than Renee is. There's also the respect of the fellow members on this board that made it possible for her to even see these images in the first place. She should respect that. Please.
There's nothing wrong with creating simple montages. Ask first about using people's personal photos (especially with their likeness on them!), that's the point here, and she knows it, so she shouldn't play games. This is a public message board owned by someone else, not a personal gallery or "website" for her to do as she wishes. We're all still in someone's "house" here. If anyone, especially a Moderator or original owner of posted material, asks a serious question pertaining to using someone else's personal material without permission, she should answer to it, not flip it off. It's a public board and people watch others' actions. She should not forget that.
I don't believe I'm asking for too much here.

I took that picture out.
How can anything created out of love be so disastrous. A simple little montage ... created out of respect for Renee'. How sad.
