"Lucy Lawless Discusses Gay Rights, Getting Pinched on the Butt (VIDEO)" here
Quote:
Lucy Lawless, star of 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand,' appeared on 'The Kilborn File' (weeknights, 7PM ET on Fox). On the show, she discussed her recent trip to Italy, which she made in support of gay rights. Host Craig Kilborn asked her about the behavior of Italian men -- who are known for "goosing," or pinching women on the butt. "Over here, [that's] called assault," he added.
Lawless reported that she was not actually pinched by any men: "I was there for gay pride; it didn't happen." She did express her disappointment that there was not an equivalent march in Italy for gay women. "All this for fabulousness for gay men ... but nothing for the women," she said.
As you may remember, Lucy was the star of 'Xena: Warrior Princess,' a show which featured an ambiguous, potentially lesbian relationship between Lawless and her female co-star. Lucy is in fact heterosexual and married, but became interested in gay rights during her work on that show. So, people of Italy, you are on notice! A little more support for lesbian rights, please. After all, you don't want to mess with a nearly six-foot-tall warrior princes Our rights to these clips expire a few days after we post them.
