Aphrodite. the Goddess Of Love
Aphrodite appeared in eleven XWP and nine Herc episodes, and Alex T. also did the voice for her on the animated movie. After you've voted in the poll, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the character

I like the mighty 'Dite, and I wouldn't mind having her in more episodes. IMO she (and Alex Tydings) was a breath of fresh air in the episodes she appeared in, and even though Aphrodite was rather mean to the gang to begin with, she mellowed out and became a sympathetic character. My favorite episodes of hers - probably The Quill is Mightier, but IMO she was used to very good effect in Motherhood. Michael |

I loved Aphrodite. My favourite God. Another character that showed so much growth. I too thought Motherhood was Alex Tydings finest episode, in fact outside
Lucy and Renee I thought it was the best performance in the whole six series.
Definitely should have been in more epidoes; they should have exploited the great relationship and chemistry of Aphrodite and Gabrielle and maybe given her a couple of more serious episodes-after all Motherhood showed she could do it.

She should have been in more episode. About Ares: I would have loved to see him in more episodes too. But this is another story

I liked how Aphrodite developed from simple sexual comic relief to a caring character...indeed, I'd prefer that late series Gabrielle stick by an Aphrodite
who cared about her than a Xena who didn't.

I think Aphrodite in "Motherhood" was somewhat inconsistent with the character of the earlier episodes and MHR, whom I liked so much. She was
supposed to be the Goddess of Love, innately good but not a saint, ever, I guess.
Voted "more episodes".

I loved Dite, she was in the right amount, although I could have done without For Him The Bell Tolls but that wasn't her fault hehehe She was great

I would have loved to see her in more episodes, she was usually a fun character to have a round and make like interesting for Xena and Gabrielle.

I agree there was a certain inconsistencty in MOTHERHOOD-I too attributed it to character growth (in the sense of improvement, i.e., she had become, to some extent, a better person). |

She should have been in more episodes. She was ok with the girls (Xena and Gabrielle). At the end, Aphrodite and Ares were the only gods surviving the twilight
and I think if asked, she could have help Gabrielle to bring Xena back.
