Banner Contest
UPDATE-July 6: Because July is a popular summer vacation time for many of our members, the entry deadline has been extended to Friday, July 31.
Attention Renee O'Connor fans! Design a Renee O'Connor banner and you could see your artwork displayed at the top of AUSXIP's very popular Renee O'Connor.info website!
Entry Rules:
1. Only 2 ROC banner entries per Talking Xena member.
2. Banner Size: Banners must be 763 x 175 pixels with a file size no larger than 60KB.
3. Banner Colors: Any colors that go with the official site colors of red, gold and black can be used in the banners.
4. Banner Logo: Banners must include the official gold AUSXIP logo. The logo must be clearly and easily seen on the banner. Contestants must PM Gabsfan for the correct logo artwork that must be used in all banner entries.
5. Banner Content: The title "Renee O'Connor" without quote marks must be clearly and easily seen on the banner. Renee should be the main person pictured in the AUSXIP Renee O'Connor.info banners. No manipulated images of Renee permitted, only real Renee images should be used. Images from the X:WP and H:TLJ TV series can be included however the banner cannot contain just those images. The images used should be a mix that represents various aspects of ROC, not just her Xena and Herc years.
For example, here is the current AUSXIP Renee O'Connor.info banner. Please note that Yuku has automatically reduced the size so it could be posted in this topic:
6. Talking Xena Owner, Administrators, and Moderators are not eligible to enter this contest. Forum hosts and hostesses are welcome to enter.
7. To enter send a PM (Private Message) to Gabsfan with the url where your banner can be found.
Entry Deadline is Midnight Eastern Daylight Time (New York/Board Time) on Friday Evening, July 31, 2009.
Semi-Finalist Voting:
1. Once the entry period is over all of the banners will be posted in a new thread and voting will start and last until Midnight EDT on Friday evening, July 31.
2. Each entry will be assigned a number and voting will be by number only.
3. Only one vote per TX member will be counted no matter how many TX handle names a member has.
4. The semi-finalists will be the 5 banners receiving the most votes. If necessary, there will be a tie-breaker vote.
5. If the TX Admins and Mods, except MaryD who will be picking the final winner, agrees that a banner worthy of being a semi-finalist was not chosen by the TX members, a special TX Staff Pick will be added to the list of 5 semi-finalists for a total of 6 semi-finalists.
6. The list of semi-finalists will be posted in the semi-finalist voting thread.
Selection of Final Winner:
1. MaryD, owner and webmaster of AUSXIP, will select the final banner winner from among the list of semi-finalists.
2. The final banner winner will be announced in a special announcement topic.
3. The banner chosen by MaryD will be displayed at the top of the Renee O'Connor.info website until the next contest.
