Create a video celebrating the official
xwp conventions and you could receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze Award in the fourth Official Talking Xena Video Challenge!
PRIZES:
Members will vote for the best video entry. The creators of the Gold (first place), Silver (second place) and Bronze (third place) Award videos will
receive a special TX Award Avatar designed by our talented PMBPRO to appear under their title in addition to any personal avatar they
may already have under their handle name.
In addition, all award recipients can choose a XWP, Lucy or ReneƩ related prize from our TX Prize Vault to be mailed to them. The creators of the
Gold, Silver and Bronze Xenaverse Family Reunion Videos can choose from among our many treasures such as T-Shirts, comic books, magnet
sets, a XWP travel mug, an action figure/doll and a XWP necklace. In addition to the choices listed above, the creator of the Gold Xenaverse
Family Reunion Video can choose their prize from a CD, trading cards, Creation photos, XWP books and other valuable treasures.
In the event that two or more award recipients choose the same collectible, the Gold Award recipient has first choice over the Silver and Bronze Award
recipients and the Silver Award recipient has first choice over the Bronze Award recipient. Please note that the award recipients will need to supply a home
mailing address (privately, of course) in order to receive their prize.
NOTE: If both of a contestant's videos are voted into the Top 3 positions, the contestant will receive only the higher of the two prizes and the next
highest vote getting videos will move up. For example, if a contestant has a video voted into the First Place (Gold) and Second Place (Silver), that contestant
will receive the higher First Place (Gold) prize while the Third Place (Bronze) video will move up to Second Place (Silver) and the Fourth Place video will
move up to Third Place (Bronze) prize. Submitting two videos will increase a contestant's chances of receiving a prize however a contestant will receive no
more than one prize overall.
ENTRY RULES:
1. The theme of the video entry must be a celebration of some aspect of the Official
XWP Conventions. It can be focused on the celebrity guests at the conventions, the fans, the convention activities or a combination
of anything or everything that happens at an official XWP convention (aka the Xenaverse Family Reunion).
2. The video can be a music video, a non-music video or a combination of music and non-music parts. Let your creative juices flow!
3. The video can be as short as you want but the maximum length is 6 minutes, 30 seconds (6:30). Entries
longer than 6 minutes 30 seconds (6:30) will not be accepted.
4. The material used for the video can be from convention DVDs (any city, any year), convention video clips, convention pictures, pictures & video from
Talking Xena activities such as the TX MeetUp and any other appropriate sources. Clips from the X:WP TV series and the H:TLJ TV series can be used,
however the main focus of the video entry must be on the official XWP conventions. Also, video creators should have permission to use images
that clearly shows the face of fans in any fan-made convention video clips and photos included in their video entry.
5. The TX member submitting the entry must be the original creator of that video. It is
suggested that the contestant mention their TX handle either somewhere in their video (before, during, after, whatever) or in the video description listed on
YouTube or other site used by the contestant to view the video for this contest. If the TX staff discovers that
the contestant is not the original creator of the video they submitted, their entry will be immediately disqualified.
6. The Xenaverse Family Reunion video entry can be either newly created for this contest or previously created.
7. No more than two video entries per TX member will be accepted no matter how many handles that member has on TX.
8. Talking Xena Owner, Admins and Mods are not eligible to enter this challenge. Forum hosts and hostesses are welcome to participate.
9. Contestants are permitted to use the YouTube video description or other website used to host their video for this contest to refer potential voters to
Talking Xena (http://talkingxena.yuku.com) to vote for their video.
10. To enter, send a Yuku PM (private message only) to Gabsfan containing:
- The name of the XWP Con/Xenaverse Family Reunion Video entry
- A link to the site where people can view your Xenaverse Family Reunion Video entry. Please note that if you prefer not to put your video on YouTube or other
streaming video site, it is acceptable to supply the link to the webpage where your video can be downloaded for viewing.
Deadline to submit Xenaverse Family Reunion (XWP Convention) Video entries is Midnight
Eastern Standard Time (Board Time) on Sunday Evening January 18, 2009.
VOTING:
1. Once the links to all of the entries are posted, all TX members will have at least two weeks to post their vote for the best Xenaverse Family Reunion (XWP
Convention) Video on the special challenge thread that will be set up in General Xena Chat.
2. Each entry will be assigned a number and voting will be by number only.
3. The number of votes accepted per member will depend on the number of entries. Only one vote per TX member will be counted if there are 25 or less entries.
TX member will be able to vote for two different entries if there are more than 25 entries.
4. New TX members must have a TX post count of 10 or more posts before they are eligible to vote in this challenge.
5. The Video Awards Medals Ceremony will be held after the voting period has ended.
