"Arrrrrrrrgh!!!" roared a masculine voice followed by a notebook scattering papers all over the room, "I need to figure something out and soon!"
A blonde head peeked in around the corner in concern, and two dimples popped up as a chuckle followed. "I've never seen you so perturbed Herc, what's got your jockey's all knotted up?"
"First off, you know I don't wear jockey's Iolaus and I'm upset because EZ's birthday is coming up and I'm trying to decide what to do for her this year." Hercules replied as he began pacing back and forth in the study.
Iolaus picked up the notebook and began looking at the list of things the demigod had written down and the ones already crossed off. "I see what you mean, although there's a couple here I wouldn't mind using for a couple lovely ladies I know, okay if I 'borrow' the ideas?"
"Do what you want Iolaus, I just want this birthday to be outstanding compared to some of the other Talking Xena birthday's EZ has had in the past. You know how special I think she is and I want her to know it even more than normal." Hercules groused as he ran a hand in frustration through his hair.
Iolaus walked over to his best friend and laid a hand on his shoulder, "She knows it big guy and she'll love whatever you decide to do."
The hunter and demigod went back through the list once more.
Hercules mentally went through the plans for the day and smiled in satisfaction, today would be a day that EZ Ryder would remember for a long time.
Looking critically in the mirror he thought to himself, 'I guess this will have to do, hope she likes what she sees."
Arriving at EZ's home, the demigod let himself inside with a key and headed upstairs where he found the birthday girl sound asleep still. Taking one of the roses from the bouquet he had set upon the dresser he silently went to stand next to the bed and caressed her cheek and lips with the velvety soft petals.
EZ smiled in delight at her dream and at the fact that she could smell the roses in it as well. Her brow furrowed at that thought, how could one smell in a dream? Eyes fluttering open she was greeted by the site of the most handsome man in the world leaning down to capture her lips in a kiss that curled her toes.
Arms reached up and locked behind Hercules' head as she purred, "Good morning big guy, and what do you plan on doing?"
Smiling at her boldness Hercules picked up EZ out of the bed with her laughing and squirming and gently set her back onto her feet. "I have many plans for you EZ but unfortunately there are things that have to be done first. Go get dressed, your first present is in the bathroom." He gently smacked her on the butt to get her moving.
Whirling around EZ came within a handbreadth of Hercules' nose. "Watch it! I haven't had my coffee as of yet and you know how I am without it," she said as she winked and sauntered into the bathroom to get ready.
On the countertop as directed was a wrapped package. EZ opened it quickly to find a sundress and matching sandals inside. Changing quickly she then pulled her hair up into a ponytail and added a smidgen of lipstick after looking in the mirror.
Glancing down at her toenails she grinned mischievously as she the previous night painted them red. "Hmm, wonder if I'm psychic like SW and Elara are," she wondered as she headed out the door to be greeted with the scent of coffee and cinnamon rolls.
"Your morning sustenance Milady. And your chariot awaits you outdoors," said Hercules as he escorted her outside to the candy apple red corvette convertible.
The couple raced down the road, unencumbered by any traffic as if by magic or actually in this case by a certain goddess who wanted her bro and his love to have a wonderful day together.
Stopping at an open field they got out and EZ was amazed at the sight of a hot air balloon inflating in front of them. Turning to Hercules she squealed in glee, "You're taking me on a hot air balloon ride? I've always wanted to go on one!" Then an almost Xena look crossed her face as she looked at him again, "You will not tell anyone that I squealed...."
Hands upraised in mock submission Hercules agreed but mentally filed the scene into his mind for use at a later date when the two of them were alone.
The balloon ascended into the sky as the couple watched the ground drift away as they went higher and higher. Hercules held EZ in his arms as they floated across the countryside and enjoyed each other's company for a while in silence.
Turning EZ gently in his arms to face him, Hercules cupped her face in his hands and stared deeply into her eyes, seeing the glazed look of desire shining back at him. "I want you so badly EZ."
Her face tilted upwards in a silent plea to be kissed.
Never to deny a damsel Hercules leaned down and kissed her gently, then rained hot moist kisses down her neck and to her ear. The sweet sensations causing a shiver to run through her body.
His hands roamed over the silken material of her dress to the zipper in back and it puddled to the bottom of the basket. With a strength they were both surprised with EZ grabbed Herc's shirt and opened it with one tug as she wanted to feel his skin against hers.
It was a surreal feeling, the sunlight warm against their skin as birds chirped in the distance and the breeze was caressing their bodies as the clouds floating nearby. She'd never made love outdoors but reveled in the complete freedom of the moment and who she was with.
EZ raked her fingers down his bare back, igniting tiny flames wherever she touched. His lips traced a path down her body memorizing it to his mind for eternity.
"I love touching you...tasting you," he murmured into the hollow of her neck.
She replied huskily, "I love touching and tasting you too," as his nimble fingers reached for her once again and soon a series of shudders swept over her leaving her weak and gasping for breath. Only then when he knew she had complete and total pleasure did the demigod enter her.
Wrapping her legs around his hips, EZ brought her lover completely to her and captured his lips in a fiery kiss that was both dominating and submissive
Afterwards they laid in each others arms complete and sated until Hercules glanced at his watch and groaned softly. "I'm sorry baby but we have to go down. Everyone from Herc Chat is waiting for us and you know how some of them feel when the birthday girl or boy is late…"
Ruefully EZ chucked as she definitely did know as she had been on the giving end of some of those in the past.
A dulcet voice floated to them across the sky, "I can have you there in two shakes of a lambs tail if you'd like."
Looking around EZ and Hercules finally spotted floating on a pink cloud across from the balloon Aphrodite.
Blushing EZ grabbed her dress and covered up herself and Hercules as much as possible. "A little privacy would ya Dite?"
Laughter filled the afternoon sky as pink rose petals drifted down to the ground as the Goddess of Love blew a kiss at the lovers who found themselves back on terra firma and dressed in clothing appropriate for the evening festivities. Her in a sexy red dress and heels and him darkly handsome in black and white with a rose in the lapel.
Jumping back into the car the couple just reached the restaurant as some of the Herc Chat family were pulling in. After allowing her to be greeting by the majority of the partygoers Hercules pulled EZ aside to give her another gift.
Opening it she couldn't help but gasp at the beautiful ruby and diamond arm cuffs, "By the gods, Herc. They're gorgeous!"
"Just like you my love. Happy Birthday EZ." he replied as he captured her lips once again in a kiss which lasted until Katelin walked by and grabbed his butt. Which earned her a swat from EZ. "Thank you sweetheart."
She growled possessively, "My pleasure darling as you are all mine tonight and no one better forget it."
"EZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!! The keg is tapped so get in here and let's get the party started!" yelled HB from the doorway.
Laughing Hercules and EZ walked indoors to the celebration that lasted to the morning sky brightened.

"What's wrong EZ?" she asked concerned.
"I don't know HB, and it's driving me CRAZY!" EZ screamed, causing several nearby Amazons to whirl about on the offensive looking for what made their leader anxious. "Last year Herc mentioned some of the plans for my birthday but this year not a peep."
HB laughed and consoled EZ with a hug, whispering in her ear, "Well your love will be here soon, and if he isn't there is a keg with our names on it waiting to be tapped. Whoo hoo!"
