There have been plenty of times where we've discussed Callisto's mental state and her being well aware of it. but we've never discussed (to my
knowledge, anyway) her feelings about herself. I don't she was lacking in self esteem as she seemed very confident, but for some people, high self esteem
doesn't equal liking one' self (Xena is a perfect example of this).
Did Callisto like herself?

I don't think she liked or disliked herself. I think she was pretty much dead on the inside, only feeling hatred and a need for revenge.
If asked, she would probably wonder why it even mattered. I think she liked who she used to be a great deal...and was in a way mourning the loss of her former self in a violent distructive way. |

She did not like herself.
She wished she had had the choices that Gabrielle had. Or anyone whose parents had not died when they were a kid. And she blamed Xena. Uber Xe

I don't think she liked herself... I think she wanted to die all along... She felt "survivors" guilt for living when her family and her village
died

I think Callisto was so consumed by Xena she didnt think about her feelings about herself, just how to dominate Xena, and would be surprised if asked. |
