I loved the way that Donna and the Doctor kept passing each other and not realising it. Great stuff and talking about Donna, Catherine Tate was BRILLIANT. I thought she was great in 'The Runaway Bride', (the Christmas special she appeared in), but I'm really looking forward to watching her character develop as this series progresses. I love the fact that she's really leary and bolshy. I think she's definately going to keep the Doctor well and truly in line! ...and OMG!!!! Rose made an appearance. Right at the very end of the eppie. Donna spoke to her asking her to tell her mum when she sees her where she put the car keys, (you'll know what I'm on about if you watched the ep ), so Rose could be seen, but after Donna went off, Rose turned around and walked away...and promptly disappeared. So Rose could have been an apparation...probably was by the looks of things. What is that about?!?!?! Amazing, I can't wait to find out more about what's been going on with her. As usual the production values were top notch! It was a really exciting episode with fantastic sfx, the only difference being with this ep was that the 'alien of the week' was unbelieveably cute! Encore!!! More!!!

I knew she was in the series but I thought later on. Loved CT, thought she was brilliant, although am not sure why all the companion's have to have eccentric families! (Bernard Cribbins was brill though!). Like the idea of the tablet although would like to control it myself! As usual Sarah Lancashire gave a chilling performance-A Galatic Supper Nanny! We have had Big Brother, Trinny and Susanna and Weakest Link lampooned, space cookery must be next!! I like her because we won't have a will they/won't they relationship ("I want a mate." "Oh no you don't I don't want to mate with you!" Brilliant!) and CT is a sensational actress, much under-rated as a lot of comedians are. Should been interesting when Martha returns though... Although, I did like Donna from her first appearance in 'The Runaway Bride', so I guess the character has already grown on me. Should been interesting when Martha returns though... Nah, Martha's a bad-a$$ UNIT employee now (she out-ranked everyone in Torchwood, if you remember that episode?), she's not going to go all mushy over the Doctor again and get all jealous...is she? Enjoyed the humour and the banter in the beginning, especially liked "vini, vidi, vici," "sounds celt" and of course Spartacus & Spartacus! Then it got more more serious as you would expect, and I thought Donna was great, asking the questions that we would ask. The twist was good, although poor Doctor, more guilt heaped on his shoulders. I have always enjoyed watching about Pompeii and this was no different. So overall good episode with a stronger begining and end than middle. Roll on next Saturday! Yeah, I loved the bantering between Donna and the Doctor at the beginning and the 'Spartacus' thing as well. Very good. The twist was good, although poor Doctor, more guilt heaped on his shoulders. I know, bless him. The curse of the Time Lords having to witness the horrors of history, but not being allowed to intervene. That's one heck of a burden. Donna was fab again. She is so lippy, I love it! At the end though when she was crying and begging the Doctor to just save someone...man, that was an amazing performance from Catherine Tate I thought. Yeah, enjoyed it very much and roll on next Saturday. BTW, I love your dialogue quotes from Dinnerladies and AbFab. Very funny!
