When she says menu, it is now called navigation. ***If you came from EZBOARD You can keep your screen name and post count. Just by logging into yuku with the email address and pw you used there. You can create a new profile. Go to the Yuku home page (http://www.yuku.com) if you want to create a global account or to your main board if you want to create a local account. Click on "navigation" in the top right hand corner. Then select "profile" in the "create" box underneath the Yuku beta logo on the right hand side. Follow the steps there and you have a new profile. You can switch between the two (this one and your new one) by clicking on "navigation" and then on "switch profiles" above your avatar in the navigation menu.

Dreamworker Posts: 63 (11/18/08 12:04 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hi there. being new here, there are lots of things i don't know how to do yet. so, for whomever would like to help...i can send you flowers...at least the smiley face kind. i want to be able to default my fonts. because i'm learning disabled, and can't even see what i'm typing, even though i use Zoomtext (a magnifying program). second, what is a kudos (other than what it means in generic culture) and how does it work? (how do we do it?) that's all to start with. there is more, but i'd like to start slowly. thanks.

Posts: 3336 (11/18/08 08:17 AM) *TX Moderator* Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Well, a default (larger) font/font size... unfortunately, I don't think that's possible on Yuku. --- The kudos is simply a way of rewarding a thread or a person you think is interesting. Kudos doesn't have any practical use beyond that. If you want to give a thread a kudos, click on the small gray 'thumbsup' at the top of the screen - here's a screenshot: If you want to give a person a kudos, just click on the line on the person's profile that says, 'Kudos'. Then it says if you want to add a comment - you don't have to if you don't want to - click 'save' - then it increments the number. Michael

In replying to a post, when you respond... see "A" with a color bar? now next to it is "Tt"... that is your font size, you can adjust it up to "7" size font. Just click on it and adjust to the size you want and can see. Unfortunately, you'll have to do that each time your respond to a post. I hope this helps you GO USA!!!!

Dreamworker Posts: 65 (11/18/08 10:24 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hi, thanks both michael and heartburn (outch!) michael, thanks for the kudos info. in fact, heartburn, i'm a computer professional and i know alot of computer stuff, though websites like this are visually challenging. and the software i use to magnify the screen is called zoomtext, but the issue is whether a regularly used font on posting can be defaulted. from what i've read, michael, you're saying it doesn't. boo hoo : 0 heartburn, the reason, is that i know how to do those changes. it's just exhausting. when you have chemical damage in your brain, plus learning and other physical disabilities, every little movement, even when done slowly, can be exhausting. so everytime i have to highlight the text, and change fonts and styles or sizes, it's exhausting to my brain. also, i still have a low end computer and very low dial up, so everything is in veryyyyy slowwwww motionnnn. the browser settings can't change this. it's about the website options.

I know my niece has optic neuritis (sp?) in both eyes, so I know she has a special viewer to view the board, probably something like you have. Of course, my brother had set this up with help of others to make it better for my niece to see things on the computer. I hear you about dialup .. It takes forever to do changes .. I just switched to DSL and loving it My bro set up for his girls to a network... I'm not a computer wiz, but I do learn things on the way. {{{{{{{xenasmart}}}}}}} but I do understand what you are going through God Bless you edited to use larger font.. GO USA!!!! (from all the drama movies we ever watched ) yes, heartburn, learning disabilities, some brain damage (ooo, let's not talk about that) and some visual stuff, but mostly learning disab. large, large fonts. made it really fun to see the icons on microsoft word first time i used zoomtext. made them look like art! lilli
