But I came on here and instantly relaxed slightly. I think its because this is a place where I know I have friends who love the same things I do. Ive had to be really tough with myself and throw stuff out... useless things I didnt even use like 24 ps2 demos. What the hell was I thinking bringing them? Its those hording tendencies again! I have about 9 mediumish boxes with stuff in them. My dvd and cd stands all taped up so the dvds and cds dont fall out. A HUGE suitcase full of clothes, two binbags of clothes, 2 binbags of shoes/hangers, and binbags holding my collection of buffy videos that I was determined to watch this year but didnt cos I couldnt be bothered setting up the video (i think ill just end up selling them haha its all about the digital age these days)... but I did to watch the fankit videos I have. (OMG I actually just panicked and couldnt remember if I packed the fankits I have But its ok I did phew) See this is stressing me out. And Im now even more worried that my stuff wont fit in the van. Even though I had a whole jeep coming over and loads more boxes. There is the problem of the computer... I dont have a box big enough. Im hoping it will be ok if I just set it in. House is only like 10 mins up the road. Collecting the keys 2moro so Im gonna hopefully have everything done by then and take some frozen stuff up with me when I collect them. I had to ask my mum how to defrost a freezer cos I had no idea how... so that should be fun! And after 2moro I dunno when I will have internet -sob- Im gonna book it and stuff 2moro I hope they dont take too long. My mate is wanting to go out on thurs night after we have moved in. I will prob be sooo knackered but will prob still want to cos Im sure ill be needing a drink after all that! OMG SHE TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY!! SHE IS A LEGEND!! SERIOUSLY!! SHE IS AMAZING!! CONCERTS WERE SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!

Last time, I almost forgot to pack the silverware. Oh, and as for transporting a computer ... I helped my buddy move stuff for his company. We took over all the computers in cars: just on the floor in front of the seat or even resting on the seat. Drove like four blocks. No trouble. Just need to keep them from moving. I have no idea how im gonna cope! Might hide in my room and just watch Xena lol. And plus my halls suck. i have so much crap and when we all moved in they had these trolleys to put stuff on. They were like airport trolleys. They dont have them for moving out. Idiots. I asked the guy behind reception and he was like well theres a few shopping trolleys about. You will just have to see if you can find one. I was like YOU WHAT?? So me and my mate are gonna go out later and see if we can find any sitting about. Prob wont tho. Gah. Dunno what Im gonna do if I cant get one. Might have to get up a bit earlier and walk into town and take one from the supermarket lol. OMG SHE TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY!! SHE IS A LEGEND!! SERIOUSLY!! Xena looking for Gabrielle, Gabrielle looking for Xena, Gabrielle looking for Ephiny etc... I chose Gabrielle looking for Xena, but that really describes what I WAS... and what I found. Unfortunately what I AM... is Gabrielle post FIN... it's been over four years and most of the time I'm ok, but sometimes it just... hurts. Sorry... I'm just feeling a bit melancholy tonight. Maybe I just need to get some sleep.

The only people I could really talk to about Xena have only really seen a few episodes and don't seem to know much about a lot of the main storylines, I mean, I don't mind filling them in. But when it comes to inside jokes on some of the episodes and stuff, it'd really be nice to have someone to laugh at them with me. Or at dramatic parts where I start crying, y'know, that sorta stuff. Just finished watching Season 4 on DVD tonight actually, after never officially seeing any of the season due to epic idiocy etc. etc. I was trying to have a conversation with my mum about it afterwards and she was just like "Right, okay." Granted she was trying to watch Coronation Street, and doesn't really know much about Xena apart from what I tell her and little things she remembers from way back when I was younger, so she wasn't at all interested. But today when I was watching IoM just as it got to the Crucifixion scene she called me. She wanted her red sleeveless shirt 'cause it's really warm, has a habit of interrupting crucial Xena moments because of the weather and whatnot. Awesome timing though, absolutely awesome.

It's been one weird project. The entire concept is based on "containment" and how our world is confined to "boxes" and that idea can take on a number of concepts....but I'm really worried about this one. My instructor showed us about 75 examples during the LONGEST freakin' slide show and many of them were not simple boxes, so I went with this idea of climbing the corporate ladder, and how confining and disillusioning that can be. "They" make it all sparkle and shine, but they've pretty much gotcha trapped. Yeah...I don't think my experience in the corporate world has been all that positive. LOL So, here are a couple of pics. This thing has just about killed me. It weighs a ton, although it's only about 3 feet wide, but 2.5 feet high. Heavy wood though. I dread having to haul it to class on Monday morning, but luckily I built it so the top three layers detach from the base and first layer. Makes it a little lighter to carry. Please feel free to bash this all to Hades. That way I won't be so crushed when my instructor works it over during the critique on Monday. This guy is so odd. Even though he approved my sketches and seemed to generally like my design, I'm so afraid he's going to slam this one. He's done that with several of my prior projects. He likes the sketches, and materials, etc, and then kills it during critique. My skin is getting pretty tough. I will be a bitter old lady before they are done with me. No doubt. Well, I'm not the best person to ask how to cure impatience because I start tapping my fingers if something runs even two seconds longer than what it should. On the other hand, I guess the flip side of impatience is indifference... and that isn't better, IMO. (Actually, I think it's worse). We've had a heatwave these last few days with highs of 28°C/82 F, and it's been killing me Fortunately, today it's a nice and quiet 21°C/70 F, which is average for July here. Thrill - Zoinks!
