Just today I received a notification about a new message from Renée in Facebook. (Hope I am not duplicating but couldn't see any post about this)

She is writing a new Screenplay!!!!

I am currently writing a screenplay with a longtime friend. No one you know. It is about the circus. I love working on a comedy, especially after 'Words Unspoken'. "WU" is going into the Breckenridge Festival in June, and the West Hollywood festival in August.
I am developing other projects for the internet, but nothing to speak of yet.
No word on when ARK will be out, but I think Trey Stokes is finished with 8 out of 10 webisodes. He may laugh at this statement. I love being optimistic.

Wow, a comedy!

I guess after getting her feet wet with writing Words Unspoken, she likes writing now, too. I wonder who she's co-writing it with and if she's got a role in mind in it for herself. And I wonder if it's for another short film or for a feature film or something else.

I wonder if she's gonna start talking to us fans more on Facebook than she does at her site?

I've been relucatant to get a Facebook account because I've heard some not so great things about it. Maybe I should....

If there is something in this life that you want to do, grab hold of the reins and take yourself for a ride, because if you don't you may miss out on some of the best experiences life has to offer!

I've been more that reluctant to enter Facebook because I know is too invasive but as soon as I see this time Renée was really there....well...I reconcidered. :P

I've been reluctant to join Facebook also, Horseredhead. And despite Renee being on there, I've still put if off for now.

I would hope that she'd still put messages on her website and not force everyone who wants to read her news to join Facebook. The whole world isn't on Facebook. It's a way for her to send news out to fans instead of the fans having to check her website but I'd think that she's missing a lot of people not on Facebook if she has news to tell us and confines it to Facebook.

Maybe the Facebook crowd will just hear it first?

I got persuaded to go on Facebook by my (at the time) GF. Sometimes the sheer volume of quizzes, games and spam ppl send you is annoying, but if you're careful with it it's ok. I try not to allow any personal info to be viewed by the public (ie date of birth and home town etc) because Facebook is apparently one of the highest sources of identity theft on the internet (ie ppl get your name, birthday and where you were born and that's pretty much enough to apply for a credit card in your name). I'm also very careful about who I add to my friends list (ie only people I actually know IRL or from somewhere else like World of Warcraft)

On the good side, a few months ago I got a completely out of the blue message from someone who was my best friend when I lived in Canada. We lost touch 20 years ago but thanks to Facebook she managed to track me down after all this time. Turns out she missed me as much as I missed her, and it was absolutely awesome catching up with her.

My advice if you're considering it is approach with caution.

), but don't you think Renée would be sensational playing a clown?

I can see that so clearly - typical clown costume and make-up, a big red nose, and a wild wig - I have a feeling the disguise would make her so cheeky, charming and scene-stealing that she'd be the picture!

I got convinced to go on Facebook by some friends, who are apparently incapable of leaving a text message, calling or emailing anyone.

I hate Facebook with a passion, and often forget for months that I even have it... to that end, I still haven't friended Renee. Opps...

Are you able to keep your personal information private to everyone or not provide personal information? For example, on Yuiu you can make information available to Everyone, Friends Only or just yourself, including your real name. I'd join Facebook if I could hide some of my personal information.

Hey Michael, after seeing Renee "clowning around" as Sister Batril with Michael Hurst at the XWP con, you're right that she would make a very cheeky clown.

But, I would hope that there are some scenes where we could see her real face or she's the kind of clown that isn't completely covered in makeup.

Yes you can. Well, I know you can hide the info but I'm not sure you can leave out your first and last name. However I do know that you can have a closed profile page.

I just reactivated my Facebook account today because of this. I was considering ever since I read about Renee being there. Still no big fan of Facebook but I'll live.

Honestly, I've never had no interest in joining Facebook, and I'm not going to now just because Renee is on there. All I can hope is if she does have any pertinent info she would like to pass on to her fans on Facebook, that the info will also be passed on to other places, like her own webite, or even here so all the fans can remain in the loop.

Sorry, but I've heard too many bad things about Facebook from friends who are on there, so I'm not risking any of the problems I've heard about just to maybe get a message from Renee every once in a while.

IMHO - you guys are smart to be cautious about joining Facebook. But resistance is futile. I resisted for years but the constant bombardment of people requesting I join wore me down and...I gave in and joined. There are some great things about joining, people you thought you'd never hear from again will contact you, and you get to follow Renee without any extra effort. But make no mistake; it will suck your time away faster than you can imagine.

TBH with you, I don't even have my full name on Facebook... I would recommend not putting your name up there too.

As for Renee being a clown... me no likey that idea - clowns are scary.
