Meaning, yes, I was explicitly told by the executive producers, the writing staff and the two lead actors that the characters of Xena and Gabrielle evolved from friends to a lover relationship over the course of the series.

It was all wonderful and you even inspired a character in a novel I wrote. At the time there was something about your writing that reminded me of a woman I'd met many years ago, one those women that got away that you're reminded of many years later. I can't explain it properly just something about how you wrote reminded me of her. Her name was Suzanne and she was visiting friends of mine from the east. It was a fond memory so in case I didn't tell you then, let me say now that your fan fiction gave me many hours of enjoyment. And even though her and I were prevented from being together, your words inspired me to write that story, what if. Thank you. The good news is you still have Retribution and Restitution. Did you continue on and read Retribution and Restitution? If not, you just gotta do so. Blade is an excellent writer. She paints you a picture so clear it is as if you are there. There are two scenes that are so vivid; I get cold chills when I read them. One you read in Redemption and the other may be a spoiler, but not really. The scene when Ice walked into the prison is about as mesmerizing reading it as being there. The other is Ice sitting bare back on a bay stallion wearing nothing but a pair of black jeans. Since we know Xena/Lucy so well, you have no problem visualizing exactly what she looked like. I love those books. Have read them a number of times. I just noticed I referred to her as Blade. In case you don't know, she is Sword'n'Quill, Susanne Beck, Sue Beck and Blademaster. She has some stories at Ausxip as Blademaster. I just finished reading "Driven", Susanne Beck and TNovan. Not as good as the trilogy, but I enjoyed it. You might want to try it. They are my favorite uber characters. But because I changed my mind and gave them the happy ending in Restitution instead of the ambiguous one I was planning on, I've run out of tales as far as they're concerned. I wish it wasn't so, but unfortunately as of right now, it is. Any more and I'd feel like I was piling on. Something I don't want to do. Ah well....
