Incredible drawings, Toa. These look straight out of a Haines manual. Great work!
Don't suppose you've got any drawings of a classic Mini or a Moke by any chance?

Heya Tai,
the Mini and Moke was on my A-List of cars to draw, but for some reason long hours of work (nothing to do with art) intervened and consumed my time. Always wanted to get stuck in again.

Work has a habit of doing that. I love Minis. My first car was a Mini, an old one that didn't stop very well until my Dad confiscated my car keys and replaced the brakes!  I've
subsequently owned 2 other Minis, both Mayfair trim. When my current car 'dies', I'll be buying either Moke number 1 or Mini number 4...and not a
German version either.  Nothing against the new BMW Minis, I just love classic cars. They might not have airbags but they've definately got
'soul'. 
Well, if you ever find the time to do any Mini/Moke drawings, you know where to post 'em.

I'll even send ya an original if ya want it.
If you get a Mk1 mini, don't forget your gumboots... avoid large puddles if ya don't have a sparky guard. My Austin 1100 MkII didn't have a sparky guard and ofcourse it stalled. had a great time trying to dry the leads.
And a mate drove his MkI off a sharp bend down a steep driveway. The monsoon was so heavy the speed of the wipers couldn't keep up with the deluge, so he missed a turn, went airborne, flipped and the car landed on its side. The rain woke him up. I parked too close to a pillar, reversed, turned the wheel and ripped the front off my Morris 1300 LTD (thats that yellow one with the Nike stripe). Welded back together okay. Try tat with a Jap-Import car... 2 cents vs 2 grand... Friend of the family had a MkIII Mini since new and because it was still mint he swapped it for a Clubman. He now drives a classic Rover 3500. That's quoie an upgrade. Again, this one is in immaculate condition, considering that it has rust problems in all the wrong places, his Rover has no such problems.

My Austin 1100 MkII didn't have a sparky guard and ofcourse it stalled.Oh, my dad fitted a manual throttle to my first Mini cos it kept stalling. Ran a treat after that though because of course it kept the revs up and if I wanted a little extra 'oomph', I'd just pull the manual throttle out just a little bit...

A friend of mine rolled a Mini. I actually didn't think that possible because of their low centre of gravity, but of course losing control on a bend, leaving the road and driving up a fairly steep grass embankment will roll a Mini every time. He and his passengers were okay, but the Mini was devoid of any glass and wing mirrors afterwards! something or other but never got round to it.

Ever hear of a guy called Joe Fuel Cell? He's got ready-to-use patents for a water-driven car. All you need is a aluminium V8 block from Rover, change the
tappets and piston heads to titanium, a little conversion here and there and you can drive from the east coast to the west coast in Australia and back on a
full tank of water.
The oil companies threatened him not to commercialise his idea. Every so often an inventor comes up with a similar idea, or uses his patents. As soon as they show it to the world they disappear off the face of the earth. Its a sad world we live in.

Its a sad world we live in.Yep, it can be on occasion. As far as hydrogen (water) fuelled cars are concerned, I remember in the distant past watching a programme about these cars and apparently they can be dangerous, potentially blowing-up dangerous because of one of the processes it takes to convert the water into energy or something like that?? Much like driving a bomb around? It was something like that anyway. My facts are scetchy at best because I watched this programme a while ago, but that was the gist. They thing is they have to find a way to make them safe, but if 'they' could do that, then yeah absolutely. Although, hopefully electric cars will take off more and more and not just these hybrid jobs, but full-on electric cars. Did you know that in the film The Italian Job (the 'remake'), the Minis they used to film the scenes in the train tunnel were converted to full electric mode. The only fully electric BMW Minis in existence. I'd have one of them for sure. I also watched a car comparison test on 'Fifth Gear' between a petrol Smart car and the electric version. The electric one stood its ground very well. Went a much greater distance than the petrol version as well. That's the thing though isn't it?, trying to get a groovy looking electric car that won't break the bank... Can you imagine tracking down one of those electric BMW Minis from The Italian Job. If you wanted to buy one of those, the people selling it could pretty much name their price!  BMW should get with it and produce one.
