Ares was pacing back and forth, shaking his head in disbelief. "A medium story. How can anyone want a mere medium story when I am their dream date! Medium is for my goody two shoes half brother Hercules, or his short sidekick." Ares paced some more then stopped to look in a mirror that was hanging on the wall, pleased with his reflection. "Look at me, Im better looking than any God or mortal! Tara has me all to herself and its unthinkable that she just wants a medium story. How can she not want all of this?" Ares resumed pacing then stopped short. "Thats it, Im not going to be her date. I just cant do medium. Thats almost as bad as mild!" Peanit and EZ looked at each other, amused. peanit cleared her throat to avoid laughing, and took out a picture of Tara to show to Ares. "Ares, you have never seen what Tara looks like. I think you might change your mind when you see this." Ares looked at peanit like she was crazy. "Im not going to change my mind. Medium means I have to behave and thats not my style." He then walked over and looked at Tara's picture. His eyes grew large and gleamed with desire, and his jaw dropped a little. "Oh. Uh..well..okay. I'll do medium just this once. EZ and peanit exchanged knowing glances, and then proceeded to tell Ares the birthday plans........................... Tara woke up to a beautiful, sunny Spring day. It was also her birthday and she was very excited about her date with Ares and her birthday party with the forum family. She bustled around getting ready for her day, wondering when the fun would start. She did not have long to wait. After putting on a tight pair of jeans, a light blue Spring tank top and sandals, she emerged from her bedroom. Ares was standing in her living room in his leathers, arms crossed, with a seductive look on his face. Tara was startled seeing him, but composed herself and greeted the handsome God. Ares looked her up and down slowly,and said, "Medium, huh?" Tara looked puzzled and said "Excuse me?" Ares shook his head and said, "Never mind." He walked over to Tara and took hold of her hand. He half bowed, kissed her hand and said, "Happy birthday, beautiful lady." Tara blushed a bit and thanked him. Ares nodded and said, "Are you ready to go?" Tara looked down at her clothes and said it depended on where they were going. Ares grinned and said she was dressed fine. He wrapped his arm around her waist and said, "Hold on". He snapped his fingers and they were gone........ They appeared in a beautiful shaded meadow. There was large majestic tree's surrounding them, the sweet sound of the birds chirping around them, and the lovely smell of wildflowers in the air on the warm gentle breeze. There was also a small natural pool with clean, clear water. It looked pretty with the sun sparkling off of it. Tara, who still had Ares arm around her, looked around with delight. "What a pretty place, Ares!" Ares looked pleased with himself, and agreed with Tara. He removed his arm from around her waist and and waved his hand. A feast fit for the Gods appeared, spread out on a huge white blanket under a large tree. Tara's stomach rumbled at the sight, as she had not eaten that day. Ares smirked at the sound but didn't let on that he heard. He extended the crook of his arm to Tara, and said, "Shall we?" Tara slipped her hand through his arm and they walked over to the feast. Sitting down, Ares took hold of two wooden goblets and handed Tara one. He then took a jug of sweet wine and poured them each a goblet full. When he was finished, he raised his goblet in a toast. "May the Gods smile upon you always. Happy birthday, pretty one." He clinked his goblet on Tara's, who smiled and thanked him. Ares leaned in and brushed his lips on Tara's cheek. It made her insides tingle and she liked the feeling. Ares pursued her no more at that time though, trying the behave himself. He knew he affected Tara though, and was content with that.....for now. He picked up two plates and handed one to Tara. "Dig in", he said, and began to help himself. Tara's eyes widened at the food displayed. There was fresh fruits and vegetables, various cooked meats, three kinds of bread, an assortment of cheese's, two kinds of soups, a few kinds of dips, and sweet cakes and rolls for dessert. Tara hungrily piled her plate high, and filled a bowl with soup. Ares did the same. They both ate slowly, enjoying every bite. Some time later Tara finished all that was on her plate, and leaned back against the tree with a very full stomach. "That was wonderful Ares, thank you." "Yes it was. Rest up now, you will need your energy for later." Tara grinned, said 'OK', and got more comfortable. Ares had leaned back against the tree as well. He extended his arm out, arched an eyebrow and cleared his throat pointedly. Tara got the hint and slid over next to Ares, enjoying the closeness of him. His arm lay casually across her shoulders, and her head rested lightly on his chest. Very comfortable indeed. Ares then asked Tara to tell him a little about herself. Tara at first hesitated a bit, but at Ares urging she relaxed more and began to open up. They actually had a very pleasant conversation and some laughs. Tara was a bit surprised at how easy Ares was to chat with. After awhile the conversation stopped and Ares was looking deep in to Tara's eyes, desire apparent in his own. Tara looked back, mesmerized by his dark eyes. Ares leaned in closer to her and brushed her lips with his, and the sensation sent a small shiver through Tara. His lips were soft and warm and she was sorry when they left hers. Ares looked down at her and smiled. "Time for a swim." Tara blinked. "Huh?" Ares pointed to the small natural pool. "What better way to cool off, and have good, uh, clean fun." Tara grinned and said, "I don't have a swim suit, and I don't think your black leather will work for you. " Ares chuckled and said that he could fix both, he was a God after all. With a snap of his fingers Tara saw she was in a sexy, medium blue bikini. Ares was wearing a very tight pair of black trunks. Tara's eyes roamed over his massive chest and muscular arms. Lowering her vision she felt herself grow warm, and looked back up. Gods, he was gorgeous! She looked and saw Ares eyes looking her over the same way, with raw lust. She was very glad he looked happy with what he saw. "Lets go", Ares said. He held out his hand and Tara slid hers into it. They both walked over to the pool, which looked very inviting. They both slipped in easily as the water was warm. Tara discovered Ares could swim like a fish, and looked very sexy doing it.Gods, he looked good wet! They lazily swam around, playing little games and splashing one another. After awhile Ares swam over to Tara and wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her close and Tara could feel his heat through the water. His arms were wrapped around her, and his sparkling dark eyes probed deep in to hers. Tara returned the embrace, losing herself in those piercing eyes. Ares slowly lowered his head and his soft, full lips claimed Tara's. His tongue explored her mouth, and sent fire shooting through her body. Tara kissed Ares back with the same passion, and was glad Ares had his arms around her as his kiss literally made her knee's weak. Ares, sensing the effect he had on Tara, kissed her more deeply. Tara moaned softly under her breath and wrapped her arms around Ares tighter, losing herself in the moment. When they finally parted they were both panting slightly, looking at each other with a bit of wonder. Ares lightly stroked Tara's cheek with his fingertips and stepped back a little, clearing his throat. "I, uh, suppose we should be getting back now, your party will be starting soon." Tara, wishing they never had to leave, agreed with Ares. She really did want to see the forum family after all. Ares took hold of Tara's hand and snapped his fingers. They were out of the pool and on the lawn, completely dry. Ares stepped back from Tara, then waved his hand. Tara was dressed in a beautiful, form fitting, deep blue party dress. It was strapless and low cut, with the hem ending a few inches above her knee's. It hugged her curves nicely. She had on a pair of matching high heels as well.. Her hair was also done up, piled high on her head with a few soft ringlets escaping. Her make up was done perfectly. In her ears were small, silver emerald studs, and around her neck was a silver necklace with a large emerald in its center. She looked gorgeous. Ares smiled and nodded approvingly, then waved his hand again. A large mirror appeared so Tara could see what she looked like. Tara gasped with pleasure at her reflection, and began to thank Ares. She then noticed the jewelry and her jaw dropped a bit. Ares stood behind her, enjoying her reaction. "It's all yours. The dress and the jewelry. Happy birthday." Tara spun around impulsively, and threw her arms around Ares neck. She covered his face with little kisses and thanked him over and over. Ares loved every minute of it. When Tara was done, Ares lowered his head and gave her a searing, intense kiss. When they parted Ares grinned and held out his hand for her to take. "Time to go before I muss you up." Tara laughed and gave him her hand. He snapped his fingers and they were gone.... They appeared in front of Tara's house. A bunch of cars were already out front, the forum family was here! Tara couldn't wait to get inside. Ares escorted her in, and winced when the forum family yelled out, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARA!" Mortals were so noisy some times. Like that music they were playing. Ares decided to go with it and grabbed a mug of wine the forum family was passing around. He watched Tara get hugged by all her friends, get piled high with presents, and blow out her birthday candles. He was developing quite a liking for this girl, and decided to hang around for awhile. Maybe quite awhile. Satisfied with his decision, he lifted his mug in a toast to Tara when she looked over at him, dancing merrily with her friends. Her eyes sparkled as she smiled and blew him a kiss. His eyes sparkled as he pretended to catch the kiss, and winked at her. "Yes", they both thought to themselves in unison, "This is going to be a great birthday".............................................. Happy Birthday (((((Tara!!))) I hope you have a excellent day!
