As long as it has subtext and not too much fighting scenes, I'll read it. I don't like too much fight scenes in fanfics. Leave that for the actual series I think. I much rather watching action than reading it.
 See, that's much more entertaining than reading a 2 paged fanfic about these two icons dueling!

I love to read fanfiction. I've read it for years and I'm just blown away by all the talent out there. It definitely has to be Xena/Gabrielle sub/maintext. It doesn't have to be a lot of action but I do love well developed characters and a bit of mystery...and of course the romance between x/g...and I'm a total sucker for Janice and Mel stories!!!! Oh dear lord...Janice Covington!!!!

I'm addicted to Fanfiction. It doesn't matter what. But mainly I read Uber stories. My favourite authors are B.L. Miller, Larisa, T Novan, KG MacGregor... I just read 'A year in Paris' and the sequel 'Culture Clash' by Malaurie Barber. It's fantastic. They are all very talented writers and I always enjoy reading their stories. But I also love alternative Xena stories and Jan/ Mel stories. But I try to avoid FIN stories.
Gotta love the attraction between them, it doesn't matter if it's in the ancient world or in the present.

When I go to school ( by bus or train ) I always read some fanfics into my mp4player....:-) It is very good activity for my time in bus...or train :-) |

I read a lot of XWP fanfic. I seem to prefer Uber stories (probably because they are more guaranteed to be relationship orientated) and Conqueror stories (well
you get the relationship, the court intrigue, some great battles - you get it all). I enjoy Alt XWP fanfic if the author captures the characters well as seen
in the show, develops the relationship (as not seen in the show) and can work up a plot that makes me believe the heroes are really in danger. I think I should
look up some more Alt stories when I finish the Uber series 'I found my heart in San Francisco' by SX Meagher, which is unputdownable. It never ceases
to amaze me how good many fanfic authors are and I really appreciate their efforts.
