In the heart-racing science fiction adventure, ZATHURA, two squabbling brothers are propelled into deepest, darkest space while playing a mysterious game discovered in the basement of their old house. On their fantastic journey, they are joined by a stranded astronaut and must survive meteor showers, hostile lizard-like aliens, a rocket-propelled robot who runs amok and an intergalactic spaceship battle. Unless they finish the game and reach the planet Zathura, they could be trapped in outer space forever.
Don't let the fact that this is a kid's movie put you off watching it...this is a really, really good kid's movie, with great effects (and not CGI heavy ones either, but actual effects done on set), very witty dialogue and some really tense/gripping moments.
Apart from Tim Robbins, (who appears briefly at the beginning and the end), this film is cast with unknowns and a fantastic job they all do to!
I thoroughly enjoyed this film and will definately watch it again...and again.

When geeky office worker Elliott Richards says he'd do anything to go out with colleague, Alison, he doesn't bank on the Devil appearing as a beautiful woman and offering to help.
Really enjoyed this film. It's funny, Elizabeth Hurley looks stunning and it's a real lesson in "Be careful what you wish for...it just might come true (with a twist!)" Loved the ending as well, very sweet.
