Because there are many romantic scenes in the Xena´s tv show. The letter from The Ring trilogy...and scene with crucifiction Xena and Gabrielle ... and how Xena said to Gabby that she is the best thing in her life. So.. The Sapho poem...and next, how Gabby ( in The Abbys ) was dieing and she told to Xena that she love her...and she want to be tomb with her because she want to be with her for eternity. And we musn´t forget on lot of small and big subtext moments between Xena and Gabrielle ( touchs, kisses ) I love the kisses in The Return Of Callisto...and in The Quest. ( there Xena was first who started with kisses )

However, it never failed to amaze me when Xena did show her feelings it was always way beyond a dinner and date, she was always so thoughtful and intense in regards to her displays of love. The poem is a GREAT example of that.

Since romance was what she loved, Xena gave her romance. I don't think Xena was romantic, but she felt such immense love that she wasn't as comfortable expressing as vulnerably as Gabrielle was. What is romance? Emotional vulnerability? Hmm.
