Has anyone booked their room at the Marriott for the con next January? Just wondering how much the rooms are at the special 'Creation' rate. Thank you!

I'm still waiting for Creation to put the price up on their site. They said it should be around May 1, which obviously has passed, so hopefully it will be
soon.

Thank you Tobias. I misread the info on the website and thought it had said you had to call the hotel to find out the price.

Looks like Mr. Marriott is learning from discount airlines.
Here's a little analysis of your options for Thursday-Monday. - You can pay upfront 21 days before arrival and get a rate $99. You can't change it or get a refund. The catch is that this rate is based on availability and soon, they'll run out of $99 rooms. The total for 4 nights is $454.02 with tax. - Same as above, except the deadline is 14 days. Total is $497.64. - You can still do an ordinary reservation which runs $125 a night. It's totally changeable and you pay after arrival. Total is $570.60 - You can do an ordinary reservation AND try to enter group code XENXENA. This is the group code from last year perhaps they changed it. You'll find more on the phone. Anyway the rate is $127 and the total is $579.72 - And if you want to support this company http://www.hotelsrus.com, their rate is $107 with taxes, which means total $428. Again you'll have to prepay the whole amount. The site looks kind of strange, but it works. You'll print yourself a voucher and walk into the hotel with it. I tested it last year in LA in other hotel and it worked. If there's a change in plans, it's cancelable and you can get a 90% refund. But you can't see the reservation on Marriott web pages. Edited: If you did your reservation over the phone, can you please post the rate you've got?

Hi Barkmcz, thanks for the research. It will be interesting to see just what price Creation posts as their discounted price, if it will be less than the price
you came up with.

Creation should inform the group code, it would save time and money booking online instead of calling the hotel (and having to spell twice your name and
address...)

- You can do an ordinary reservation AND try to enter group code XENXENA. You were able to use the code online? ![]() XOC Forum Host, Graphic Artist and Technical Administrator

Yes, but it doesn't make sense - it's more expensive than ordinary reservation. We need someone who had alredy called them to read the group code from
her/his reservation in here https://www.marriott.com/reservation/lookupReservation.mi
